Most workplaces and schools are closed to observe Labor Day, the day where American laborers celebrate their economic and social accomplishments. Labor Day is held on the first Monday in September and was first celebrated in 1882 in the state of New York. Many other states followed in following years. The March on Washington was a nationwide event to commemorate the 57th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s March on Washington where he delivered his famous "I Have A Dream" speech. This event took place on Friday, Aug. 28, 2020.
