Saluki baseball had a major comeback against the Arkansas State Red Wolves making a split two-game series on March 19 and 20, getting an early blowout in the second game with the Salukis having 7 runs by the second inning making it a blowout.

 

First game at Centennial Bank Stadium the Red Wolves took home a win with a score of 5-10. They got 3 runs in the first inning. SIU got their first run of the game in the second inning from Jake Allgeyer.

Arkansas State got three more runs in the fourth inning and SIU got two more runs with a scored passed ball from Nathan Bandy and Trey Cutchen with a score of 3-8

 

Southern got two more runs in the fifth and sixth innings and didn’t score the rest of the game. The Red Wolves scored two more runs cutting the score in half and taking the win.

 

Southern came back with more momentum in the second game back in Carbondale with their early seven runs solidifying their win early with Arkansas State only scoring three runs all game.
