Garrett Webb, right a junior from Newton studying agriculture business receives instruction from Kevin Bach Tuesday at Kevin's Archery Center in Ava. Bach, the owner of the archery shop said business had been hectic for the past month with the start of deer season for bow hunting beginning Wednesday. "It's that time of year, you've gotta get your bow ready," he said. Webb had adjustments to his bow made by Kevin and other bow technicians at the shop who measured his arm span to adjust the drawback. Bach also gave Webb pointers for relaxing before releasing the arrow and being consistent. Webb said he plans to hunt this weekend. Kevin's Archery Center focuses on each indivudal, offering personalized adjustments, and making custom strings on site. "We try to make sure we take the time to work with one individual at a time until it's done, said bow technician Chad Lipe. Bach said he had been in business for three years. "I wanted to do something I liked when I eventually retire, because I know I wouldn't stop working." -Sarah Gardner
