Carbondale community participates in Martin Luther King Day of Service

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, SIU students spent the day helping community organizations on Jan. 23 by participating in a day of service. 
Trump tower is located at 401 N. Wabash Ave., Chicago, Ill. It is the second tallest building in the country standing at 98-stories. Overlooking the Chicago River, the skyscraper houses the Trump International Hotel, condominiums and a retail space.

Students, teachers and staff members of Carbondale District #95 experienced their last normal day of school on March 6 when they left for spring break. Since then, the district moved to a remote learning plan and had to adapt, along with the rest of the world, to the challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

No one waited more than 10 minutes for an air fill.”

Following the unclear presidential election this Tuesday, southern Illinoisans gathered outside the town square pavilion in Carbondale in protest of what they felt was an unrepresentative election.
