The Board of Trustees is expected to announce the new system president at the regularly scheduled Dec. 5 meeting, Misty Whittington, Board secretary, said in an email obtained by the Daily Egyptian through a Freedom of Information Act Request.

The timeline for the presidential search was also released in the email to members of the Board. 

The email said the purpose of the Oct. 25 special meeting was to call search presidential finalists. It was also to select committee candidates for the panel that would select the next president.

According to an email from Dennis Barden, a senior partner at WittKeifer, the search firm designated to help with the presidential search, the search had been narrowed down to three finalists, and each of these finalists took a psychological test known as “leadership solutions.”
