Austin Winters, a junior from Carmi studying speech communications, practices bowling Monday in the Student Center bowling alley. Winters, a member of the SIU Bowling Club, said the club is open to any student who enjoys bowling. The top eight bowlers out of the club make up the bowling team who travel around the country to compete in tournaments against other colleges. “Bowling is truly a sport and a workout at times,” Brittany Williams, a member of the club, said. “We have fun doing it and it allows for us to meet new people who enjoy doing it as well.”
