University Place Dental said they would host free dental services for veterans on Nov. 9 in a press release given to the Daily Egyptian.

“There is increasing evidence that links oral health to overall health and well-being. The signs and symptoms of over 100 medical conditions, including diabetes, HIV/AIDS, Lou Gehrig’s disease and oral cancer may first be detected through traditional oral examinations,” the release said.

Comprehensive and limited exams, cleanings, and more will be provided per patient on Friday, Nov. 9 between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Patients will be accepted by appointment only and veterans are asked to bring a valid form of military ID.
