More than 300 people participated in this semester’s Tour de Carbondale on Saturday in Carbondale.

One girl was injured and taken in an ambulance after she fell off her bicycle.

Guests don outfits and travel one location to the next by bicycling, walking and roller blading. People began traveling on West Mill Street and made four stops throughout the day: the football practice field to watch a men’s rugby club match, Aspen Court Apartments, South University Avenue and West Elm Street.

“Some people say that this is a dangerous town … I don’t understand why we can’t just get together and have fun,” said Jake Thacker, a senior studying aviation technology from Chenoa. “Everyone is just having a good time. I’ve seen nothing but smiles all around.”
