Service line being repaired after burst

A water service line broke about noon Tuesday on West Mill Street, where there is ongoing construction.

A repair team is working to fix the water line, according to the Carbondale Water and Sewage Department.

Sean Henry, director of the Public Works department in Carbondale, said the pipeline burst caused flooding in the area.

Henry, who did not expect any delays from the burst, said the old pipelines are cast iron, but the new pipelines are made of polyvynyl chloride.
