Isom cited for possession of marijuana

SIU football freshman running back Daquan Isom was issued a notice to appear by police for possession of under 30 grams of marijuana on Oct. 25, according to the Department of Public Safety 60-Day crime log. 

Isom, 19, was issued a Carbondale City pay by mail citation and released. The incident was reported by police at 1:29 a.m. in the parking lot adjacent to the west side of the Towers. 

In eight games this season Isom is No. 2 on the team with 403 net rushing yards and is tied for second with two rushing touchdowns. He is third on the team with 340 receiving yards and is tied for second with three receiving touchdowns. 



Isom did not miss SIU’s 35-29 home loss to No. 6 North Dakota State on Saturday.
