New color revives Turley Park

Max Senteney of Carbondale, a gardener for the Carbondale Park District, pulls weeds Tuesday at Turley Park after planting new flowers. Senteney said the park district initiated the planting in an effort to revive the colorful gardens after the drought browned the park scenery. “Since conditions have started to improve, we’ve been weeding and planting to make the gardens look better,” he said.
