AJ Sutherland, a junior from Calumet Park studying criminology, takes a break and dances after setting up for the Phi Beta Sigmas 3rd annual Sneaker’s Ball, a black-tie event held Saturday at the Catholic Newman Center. Attendees were encouraged to bring new or slightly worn shoes to donate to Soles4Souls, an organization that collects shoes for the less fortunate. Byron Handcox, fraternity president, said the group has collected more than 500 pairs of shoes over the past two years to donate to the organization, making it one of their most charitable events that they put on during the year.
