The Missouri Valley Conference Championships were held in Terre Haute, Indiana on Friday, October 28. Junior Rachel Anderson (W) and sophomore Ethan Senti (M) both lead their respective teams to fifth place out of the twelve teams in the tournament.

As previously mentioned, Anderson was the fastest runner for the women’s team. She has had an impressive season so far, running the fastest for the SIU women’s team at nearly every meet. 

Anderson was recognized for her performances with an all-conference first-team nomination at the meet. She finished sixth overall, with a time of 21:32.

The women’s team scored 139 points on the day. 

The men’s team was led by Senti and junior Dawson Smith, who both made the all-conference first team in the men’s division. They finished fifth and sixth respectively, with times of 24:40.9 and 24:44.5. 

The Southern Illinois men’s team finished with 130 points as a whole. 

Bradley won both divisions relatively handily. The women’s team finished with 22 points, while the men finished with 42.
