SIU track and field was represented by two All-Americans at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field national championships Thursday and Friday, March 11 and 12.  

Redshirt senior Shauniece O’Neal finished seventh nationally in the women’s indoor weight throw event with a long throw of 21.77 meters. The first place throw was 23.26 meters 

Senior A’veun Moore-Jones finished 12th nationally in the women’s shot put with a long throw of 16.76 meters. First place was 17.81 meters. 

After the events O’Neal was named to the national all first-team and Moore-Jones was named to the national all second-team.
