I am a freshman at southern Illinois university where I am studying cinema and minoring in journalism. At the DE, I edit the insiDE sports podcast, work on DE talks, and also do TV news segments. I started off my journalism career my senior year of high school where I worked on TV news segments for my high schools student news paper called BluePrint. My work has won a total of 9 awards including being featured on Best of SNO two times and I was a part of a team that won the 2024 IHSA state competition for TV News. My goals are to work in media after I graduate, but don’t know what type of media I want to work with yet.
