On Aug. 22, 2019, Illinois representative Mike Bost granted Centerstone of Illinois, Inc. in West Frankfort a $753,737 grant.

The money will be going towards the Early Head Start program, which, according to their website, provides services to low-income pregnant women and children ages 0- to 3-years-old.

“As a father and grandfather, I know that the first years of our children’s lives are critical to their development,” said Bost. “This grant allows Centerstone to continue supporting the development of healthy children and families in Franklin and Williamson counties.”

The mission of this program is to promote healthy living for the mothers, enhance development for the children and promote healthy family function.
