The body of 41-year-old Ryan Jones was found Monday at approximately 10 a.m. on Roseme Road, half a mile east of Ava, according to a press release by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the release, Jones was found outside of his residence by a family member after he failed to show up for work.

The sheriff’s department said they do not suspect foul play is involved in Jones’ death, and suggest he froze to death after being locked out of his residence the night before. The investigation is ongoing.
