Harrison named MVC Pitcher of the Week

The Missouri Valley Conference named sophomore starting pitcher Brad Harrison the league’s Pitcher of the Week in an announcement on Monday.
Harrison earned the honor after an exceptional performance against the Belmont Bruins last Tuesday.
The young pitcher threw a two-hit complete game shutout against the Bruins and spun seven perfect innings with a career-high 11 strikeouts.

Harrison retired seventeen straight batters to end the game and earned SIU’s third win of the young season.
He currently sits on a 2-0 record and a 1.93 ERA through 14 total innings.
The pitcher will be back in action on Tuesday when he takes on the SEMO Redhawks (3-9). First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
