Former SIU president Glenn Poshard was selected Tuesday to fill a vacant seat on John A. Logan College’s Board of Trustees, according to a recent report.

The former university president was appointed following an emergency meeting of the community college’s board of trustees and is to fill the position immediately, according to a report from WSIL-TV.

He takes the place of board member Bill Alstat, who died in late August.
