SIUC sophomore swimmer Chris Salisbury, 19, was released on his own recognizance Tuesday after his first appearance in court on disorderly conduct charges.

Salisbury, of Carbondale, was originally arrested Sunday night by SIU Police for allegedly stalking an ex-girlfriend and was transported to Jackson County jail where he was booked on stalking charges. The charge was then reduced to disorderly conduct at Salisbury’s court appearance Tuesday.
