I support the new Halloween break and any other condition that will break up the party. It is not enjoyable to drive through the Chicago area as I did last summer and hear a major radio station discuss the SIUC drunken brawl that annually occurs on the strip. It is a most sad commentary it the party is most significant event for which SIUC and Carbondale are known in the state and region.

Continue the October break but give the teachers and students back the Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
