A former SIUC student wanted on charges of aggravated battery is still at large following an alleged Feb. 18 stabbing outside of a party on Beveridge Street, Carbondale Police say.
Christopher A. Settles, 23, of Carbondale, a former computer information processing student, allegedly stabbed a Carbondale man in the abdomen at the 500 block of South Beveridge, Don Priddy, Carbondale Police community resource officer, said.
Settles should be considered armed and dangerous, Priddy said. He has a criminal history.

A Jackson County warrant was recently issued for Settles, Priddy said.
Settles is described as a white male, 6-feet-4-inches tall, 200 lbs., with brown hair.
Priddy said Settles allegedly stabbed Michael R. Delisle, 30, of Carbondale.
Settles and two other guys were ejected from a party, he said. The victim went outside in an alley by the party and got into an argument with the three guys. One of the guys held onto the victim while Settles allegedly stabbed him.
Phillip B. Rowan, 20, of Makanda, was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery for allegedly holding Delisle’s legs down while he was stabbed.
Jason M. Tharp, 21, was also allegedly involved in the altercation, police said. He was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Memorial Hospital of Carbondale officials said Delisle was discharged Feb. 22.
