The World Wide Web Consortium exists to realize the full potential of the Web, and its virtual library alone is a step in the right direction. It was recently commended by the Chicago Tribune for its development of technical standards allowing indentifiability and selectivity of Web content for parents. Join the consortium, or just learn from them; either way, here is where one can find the study of the Web evolving into a true science.

Fantasy football goes online. Create teams and compete with the rest of the Web. The $49.95 charge to register might be a little steep for some, but the level of involvement in this armchair sport could make it worth it. Plenty of interactivity makes this world-wide pool truly more than just a spectator sport.

An entertaining site, but it’s not just entertainment:What makes this site one you’ll visit again and again is its diversity and depth. A press packet claims Internet University has 250 of its own pages with links to absolutely everywhere. The staff of this university is in touch with its students, who will be amazed at how often one can find exactly what one is looking for especially if one is looking for a surprise.
