Dorian L. Fields, of Carbondale, and Aarion T. Sanders, of East St. Louis, both 19, were arrested Nov. 25 for unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver. Fields was released on $100 bond. Sanders remained in Jackson County Jail as of press time.

Carbondale firefighters responded to a fire at the Evaluation and Development Center on South Lewis Lane at 9:25 p.m. Sunday when a storage building behind the center caught on fire. There were no reported injuries and no estimate of damages. The incident is under investigation.
Lionel J. Anderson, 25, of Carbondale, was arrested for unlawfully discharging a firearm at 2:30 a.m. Sunday at 422 E. Sycamore St. Police arrested Anderson after responding to a report of shots fired from a vehicle. There were no injuries reported. Anderson remained in Jackson County Jail as of press time.
