Eric R. Bricker, 25, of Freeburg was arrested Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. Route 51 and Lincoln Drive on an outstanding St. Claire County warrant for failing to appear in court for a traffic violation. Bricker was also cited for possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license. Bricker was taken to Jackson County Jail where he posted bond

Ronald B. Lewis, 38, of Royalton was arrested at 2:02 a.m. Friday at the Cedar View Mobile Home Park on South Illinois Avenue for driving under the influence of alcohol. Lewis was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis with intent to deliver. He also was cited for driving in the wrong lane, speeding and reckless driving. Lewis was taken to Jackson County Jail where he posted bail and was released.
Michael D. Head, 29, of Carbondale was arrested at 4:10 a.m. Friday at the intersection of South Wall Street and Pleasant Hill Road on an outstanding Jackson County warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous charge of driving on a suspended license. Head was charged with driving on a suspended license and cited for unlawful possession of cannabis and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Head was taken to Jackson County Jail where he posted bail and was released.
Reginald L. Cosey, 21, of Carbondale was arrested at 12:11 a.m. Friday at the intersection of west College and south Thompson streets on an outstanding Effingham County warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous speeding charge. Cosey was charged with driving without a valid license. Cosey posted $350 bond and was released.

The SIUC Grounds Department reported Friday that there were several locations on the west side of campus where there was damage to the lawn. A suspect vehicle has been located, and the owner took responsibility for the damage.

Cmunt Jr., 28, of Carbondale was arrested at 1:47 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of South Marion and East Freeman streets for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without headlights and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Cmunt was taken to Jackson County Jail where he posted bond an was released.
Julius Calhoun, 20, of Carbondale was arrested at 4:41 p.m. Saturday after his roommate said that he was battered by Calhoun. Calhoun posted $100 bond and was released. The victim did not require medical attention.
Adrianne E. Cortes, 22, of Carbondale was arrested at 2:14 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Pleasant Hill and Springer roads for driving under the influence of alcohol. Cortes posted bond and was released pending a future court appearance.
Eleda Latrese Bethany, 25, of Chicago was arrested at 11:03 p.m. Saturday on South Illinois Avenue on an outstanding Jackson County warrant for failing to appear in court on a previous cable television offense. Bethany was stopped for a traffic violation when the outstanding warrant was discovered. Bethany posted $150 bond and was released.
Anthony E. Anderson, 19, of Schneider Hall was arrested at 11:03 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of South Illinois Avenue for failure to wear a properly adjusted seat belt, unlawful use of a drivers license, resisting a police officer and aggravated battery to a police officer. Anderson was taken to Jackson County Jail where he posted bail and was released.
Two female residents of Mae Smith reported Sunday that between 10:45 and 11:50 p.m. Saturday someone entered their room and stole books, a radio, jewelry, a VCR, a telephone, a book bag and other items. The estimated cost of loss is $1,300. There was no sign of forced entry. Police have no suspects.
