The SIU Department of Public Safety is investigating a reported sexual assault at Schneider Hall, per a Clery Act release.

The release states the incident occurred at 5 a.m. Sunday and was reported at about 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The victim, an SIU student, and the suspect, “not affiliated with the university,” are acquaintances. Alcohol is thought to have been involved.
