Joy picks up Salukis

By Gus Bode

Junior pitcher Shawn Joy used 100 pitches to make it through the seventh inning and pick up his fourth win of the season for the SIU baseball team.

The Salukis defeated Missouri State 5-3 today in Carbondale thanks in part to Joy’s performance and an errorless day in the field.

SIU got to Bears’ starter Ross Ditwiler early, tagging him for five runs in 3.2 innings.
