After one half of play, the SIU football team took a 10-7 lead into the half in its FCS semifinal playoff game against Deleware.

The Salukis kicked a 42-yard field goal five minutes remaining in the first quarter. Four minutes later, running back John Randle added a touchdown to give the Salukis a 10-0 lead after the first quarter.

The Blue Hens responded in the second quarter with touchdown by receiver Robbie Agnone.
