Members from the community came to the Rotunda in the Morris Library to see the
work that SIU photojournalism students made at the Weekend Workshop Aug. 24,
2024 in Carbondale, Illinois. The students worked together to produce a body of work
that told unique stories about the community of Cobden and Alto Pass in April 12th
through 14th, 2024.
In addition to community members and students, visiting professionals returned to
speak and support the students at the event. Photojournalist Justin Cook engaged
with the students in a panel discussion, asking the students their specific experiences
at the workshop.
