Saluki guard Kennard Davis Jr. announced his return to the program on Wednesday after previously entering the transfer portal in March.
Davis, a St. Louis native, started 10 games out of 32 played during his true freshman season, platooning with now-former Saluki A.J. Ferguson. Davis averaged 4.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per game with consistent playing time.
He joins Jarrett Hensley on the list of recommitted Salukis on a men’s basketball roster that continues to take shape entering the first summer under new head coach Scott Nagy. The program currently features seven players, including Davis, Hensley and Sheridan Sharp. Incoming players include freshmen Rolyns Aligbe, Drew Steffe and Jaheem Webber, as well as junior guard Damien Mayo Jr. from Missouri State.
