Women’s Golf finishes out season at Little Rock Golf Classic

The Saluki Women’s Golf team finished out their season on Tuesday in Little Rock Arkansas at Diamante Country Club. 

The Dawgs placed 13th out of 16 total teams making an appearance and shot a score of 309 all around across the three rounds of play.

One of SIU’s top players in the Classic was senior Secilia Ho, who performed to a 222 total score, tying for 18th place in the event. Junior Janie Samattiyadeekul and senior Ayanna Habeel both tied for 36th place in the event, with both scoring a 228-point total across both days. Both sophomores, Morgan Gindler and Kylee Vaughan trailed behind their older teammates. Gindler placed 56th with a score of 233, while Vaughan placed 72nd with a 238 score.

The Salukis will return to the green in the Spring for their first spring season meet on February 20-21 for the Islander Classic being hosted by Texas A&M Corpus Christi in San Antonio.
