The Salukis traveled down to Georgia State, where they would place 7th out of 16 teams, with a total of 886 (+22). The invitational took place over Monday-Tuesday, October 3-4.

Southern Illinois best golfer was sophomore Braden Hoisington, who has leading the Salukis most of the season. He finished with a score of 219 (+3), which was good enough to tie for 14th place.

The Dawgs’ next highest golfer was junior Hugo Archer, who finished with a score of 220 (+4), which left him tied for 18th. In third place for the Salukis, senior Tom Cleaton scored the low total of 224 (+8).

The winners of the invitational were Tennessee Tech and James Madison, both combining for a total of 867 (+3). James Madison finished in first place on the first two sessions, but failed to continue their streak, resulting in the tie for TTU.

The Salukis will compete in their next tournament on October 16-17, at the Iowa Fall Classic hosted by the University of Iowa.
