Linda Andreas, a clothing vendor, (Maryville, IL) folds one of her handmade clothing items shortly after it was purchased by a customer during the Small Business Saturday. “I think it’s important to shop local, and support local people,” Andreas said. Between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., small business owners and artisans gathered together at Cottonwood Marketplace to sell and display their merchandise. Cottonwood Marketplace plans to hold this event again on Sept. 19, Oct. 3, and Oct. 17 in hopes of spreading the news about small businesses in the area Sept. 5, 2020, West Frankfort, IL.
