I’m filling in as faculty managing editor on an interim basis in addition to my full-time work as director of community engagement for national nonprofit the News Literacy Project. I also host trivia at the Hangar 9. I spent six years at The Southern Illinoisan, including a brief turn as editor-in-chief and also previously worked on campus for the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute. I got my journalism degree from University of Missouri in 2011 and moved to Carbondale right after that.
