Carbondale police arrested a teenage boy last month on aggravated assault charges after he allegedly pointed a gun at a mother and her daughter in their car in Carbondale, according to a news release Wednesday.

The mother, who was not identified by police, reported on April 20 they were stopped at a traffic light on West Main Street when a teenage male driver pointed a gun at them.

A description given by the victims led to the arrest of a suspect, who was apprehended at Carbondale Community High School and incarcerated at Jackson County Jail, police said.
