The CEA has reached a tentative agreement with the Carbondale Board of Education to avoid a strike.

Melissa Norman, CEA President, said she is very pleased the union was able to reach a tentative agreement, and that they do not have to go on strike.

“This agreement truly puts our students first,” Norman said. “We are hopeful both our membership and the Carbondale Board of Education will vote in the near future to ratify the agreement.”
