Sunset Concerts returning to Carbondale for a 41st summer of live music

It’s that time of year again. The Sunset Concerts are returning to Carbondale for their 41st year.

 

The concerts are free to the public and start at 7 p.m. every Thursday, excluding the Fourth of July holiday. There will be six concerts throughout the summer. Concerts feature an array of artists and music genres.

The concert dates and locations are:

  • June 13: Donovan Keith, a soul rock singer, at Shryock Auditorium
  • June 20: The Josephines, an alternative country band, at Turley Park
  • June 27: Sweet Crude, a Louisiana drum pop band, at the corner of Washington Street and East Main Street.
  • July 11: Raging Fyah, a reggae band, at the corner of Washington Street and East Main Street.
  • July 18: Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, a blues singer, at Turley Park
  • July 25: Bottletones, a rockabilly/roots rock band, at Shryock Auditorium
