Yolanda Harrington, left, from Carbondale, and Denise Frazier, from Carbondale, rehearse hymns Thursday for the Black History Month Musical at Rock Hill Baptist Church. The Black History Month Musical is an annual event directed by Daniel Cross that presents hymns, duets, solos and spirituals. The choir in the musical is made up of different singers from other community churches Harrington, from New Zion Church in Carbondale, said. “We all come together to sing for Daniel every year he needs a choir because we love him,” Harrington said. The musical was cancelled Sunday, Mar. 2 because of weather and will be rescheduled for Mar. 23 at Rock Hill Baptist Church.
