Fat Joe, Kid Capri join Ice Cube at rap fest

Fat Joe and Kid Capri are scheduled to be the opening acts for Ice Cube’s performance April 28 at the university’s arena, according to a university press release.

South Bronx native Joesph Antonio Cartagena, also known as “Fat Joe,” is a Grammy-nominated rapper who with 25 year music career, according to the press release.

According to the press release, Kid Capri, also known as David Anthony Love gained notoriety as a DJ.

“A musical artist and director in his own right, he’s been a lead judge on Smirnoff’s “Master of the Mix” reality television competition and won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Global Spin Awards,” the press release said.

The concert will have a VIP party with access to First Mid Bank Saluki Lounge and private bar, according to the press release. A special gift and VIP lanyard will also be included.

Tickets are available now online, by phone at 1-877-Salukis or in person at the arena or the McLeod Theatre Box Office, from noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
