Will Roberts, president for Augmented Pictures and a SIU alumni from Miami, describes the future of virtual reality to “Dive into VR” workshop attendees Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, in the communications building.

He believes that virtual reality will impact career fields off of the spectrum; the top three being architecture, education and medicine.

“When the iPhone came out a few people had [VR] but gradually every person got it and then every phone was worth more,” Roberts said. “I feel like VR is on that same trajectory – it’s kind of expensive but you can see the benefit.”
