The NFL Draft commenced and former Saluki running back Malcolm Agnew was still on the big board. He was not for long.

Agnew was quickly signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent. He tweeted at 6:12 p.m. Saturday announcing he was the newest member of the Packers.

“Man! God is so Amazing! Blessed and honored to be the newest member of the Green Bay Packers! #GoPackGo,” he tweeted.

In two years with SIU, Agnew played 19 games and ran for 1,708 yards on 316 attempts and 16 touchdowns. He also added 329 receiving yards for 3 touchdowns.

Agnew transferred to SIU after playing two years at Oregon State, finishing with 692 rushing yards and 6 touchdowns. His most dominant game came in his first of the career in which he ran for 223 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Agnew joins three other running backs with the Packers, including 2013 Pro Bowl participant Eddie Lacy.
