There are now three Saluki football players with season-ending injuries.

Sophomore wide receiver Connor Iwema announced on social media Thursday that he will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder tear.

“I want to thank all my friends and family who have supported me and my teammates thus far and ask that you continue to support us as we finish out the rest of the season,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

Iwema started three games this season, registering six catches for 33 yards.

Jimmy Jones has been slotted to replace Iwema as a starter for Saturday’s game against Missouri State.
