January 13, 2016
Matt Limegrover, who served as SIU football’s offensive coordinator from 2001 to 2007, was announced as the offensive line coach at Penn State on Wednesday.
He most recently served as the assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Minnesota from 2011 to November 2015.
The Twin Cities Pioneer Press reported he met with Penn State coach James Franklin on Monday at the National Coaches Convention before meeting with the offensive staff Tuesday.

Limegrover, a Pittsburgh native, was fired by Minnesota coach Tracy Claeys after the Gophers’ regular season-ending 31-21 loss to Wisconsin.
He’ll have a shot at redemption Oct. 1 as Penn State hosts Minnesota at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pa.
