On the final day of the Mid-American Conference swimming and diving championships, SIU finished with one champion.

Junior Fillippo Dell’Olio was the lone champion Saturday night for the Salukis. The Italian transfer won the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:46.54, .19 seconds ahead of the second-place swimmer, sophomore Logan Burton from Eastern Michigan University. EMU came in first place in the tournament.

Dell’olio was recognized at the end of the night with first team All-Mac honors along with three other teammates.
