Career dead for K-Fed

Kevin Federline Playing with Fire Release date: October 31, 2006 Label: Federation Records Rating: -100/5

“Who told this bastard that he can’t rap/ I got 50 mill, I can do whatever I want.”

It’s those lyrics from Kevin Federline’s debut album, “Playing with Fire,” that summarize just how this pile of filth came to fruition.

Not only can K-fed not rap, but he can’t rhyme either. To top everything off, he doesn’t have $50 million anymore since Britney Spears ditched him to go party with Paris Hilton.

Listening to “Playing with Fire” is similar to trying to kick a flaming dog – it’s not only a bad idea, but it can be hazardous to your health.

In the opening track, he says, “I make music America can feel.” I liken that line to the famous Upton Sinclair quote “I aimed at the public’s heart, and by accident I hit it in the stomach.” Sinclair was talking about the disgusting meat market, but Federline’s album should turn into an expos on the direction of the music industry today.

Federline intelligently references how his marriage to Britney Spears will stand the test of time over and over in what feels like every song. Speaking of the baby/hit dropping diva, she makes an appearance on “Crazy,” which is a fitting title for the mind frame she was in when she lent her voice to the song.

Between proclaiming he’s “America’s Most Hated” and referencing himself to Jesus in the hidden track “Middle Finger,” he spends his time digging an early grave on his career. He actually says, “I’m hotter than a pizza oven.”

Do I really need to say more?

Maybe not, but I’m going to because this album has tarnished my ears and left me permanently scarred.

Is Federline “America’s Most Hated?” Hardly, if America thinks anything about him it would be that he’s a washed up wannabe rapper.

A pile like Federline usually would only have 15 minutes of fame, and this album runs 50 minutes long. He needs to give us those extra 35 minutes back.

Where is K-fed now? Well the last time he was seen it was in a wrestling ring, getting dropped faster than his album did on the charts. Hopefully the last hit related to his career will be one that inflicts bodily harm on him.

This album sucks.

Seriously.
