It has been reported that the Knicks and Stephon Marbury are close to reaching a buyout agreement, and Marbury and the Boston Celtics have already started contract talks. Would you want Marbury on your team?

I’m a Bulls fan, so it’s a no just because they don’t need to add another guard to the rotation. But I think a few teams, and the Celts specifically, can be good fits for him. Boston needs someone to spell Rajon Rondo, and Marbury will do just that, and there’s no way he can upset the culture there that Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen have created.

I would like to have Marbury’s talent on my team, but not his ego. But I have to hand it to him, it could have been really easy to collect his millions to not play basketball, but there is apparently a desire on his end to hoop it up. Maybe reuniting with Kevin Garnett and a championship caliber team could reignite Starbury’s competitive fire.

Only if Marbury could put aside his raging ego and just play as his talent suggests.’ Unfortunately, he has rarely been able to do that in the past.’ Though I do like his cheap shoes, and the Celtics seem like they have the chemistry and talent that could help Marbury.’ If I had a team like the Celtics, then why not pick him up?’ It is not like he could destroy the good thing they have going ‘- right?
