A dead body matching the description of Kameron Strabley, 22, was found on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, according to a news release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office. Searchers found the body in the Big Muddy River, which runs parallel to the Little Grand Canyon Trail area.
An autopsy has been scheduled to investigate the cause of death.
Strabley was reported missing on May 16, 2026, at 3:22 p.m. from the Little Grand Canyon.

A multi-day search was conducted by multiple police and fire departments, which searched the area for days using dogs, drones and personnel.
