Salukis and southern Illinoisans were out in full force, drifting cars down The Strip, sledding at the Banterra Center, shoveling sidewalks and trying to stay warm.
Max Anderson, 7, lands in the snow after catching air while he sleds down the Banterra Center hill on his stomach in close to a foot of snow Jan. 25, 2026 in Carbondale, Illinois.
