A Junior was pronounced dead at 6:58 a.m. Tuesday after she was involved in a single car crash at Rt. 17 in Galva.

Kayla Halsall was a Junior from Galva studying psychology in Carbondale.

Her family includes her mother, Lisa Halsall-Bass; stepfather, Wally Bass; brother, Dane Halsall; and cousin Ashley Robinson.

She was employed at the Lone Star restaurant in Carbondale.

Halsall’s funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Galva, and visitation hours will be held from 3 p.m. to 8p.m. Saturday at the Rux Funeral Home in Galva.
