The Salukis return to the dugout after they get the 3rd batsman out in the game against SEMO March 28, 2023 at the Charlotte West Stadium in Carbondale, Ill.

Tuesday the Salukis hosted Southeast Missouri State to tally their 14th straight home win, moving them to 23-5 on the season.

Southern earned their lead early in the game thanks to a two-run homer by senior Tori Schullian in her first at-bat of the game in the second inning followed by a two-out double that brought in freshman Jackie Lis.

SEMO tallied a single-run homer in the fourth inning and four runs in the sixth inning to give the Redhawks a 6-3 lead.

Junior Elizabeth Warwick brought in the second run of the inning with her second hit of the day. Freshman Anna Carder brought in the final run of the game giving SIU the 7-6 win.

DePron, Rylie Hamilton, Warwick, and Carder tallied two hits each for the Salukis, and junior pitcher Hannah Hockerman pitched the first five innings of the game, only allowing three hits and two runs.

The Salukis will be back in action in Carbondale at Charlotte West Stadium for a three-game series against MVC opponent Indiana State with hopes to continue their at-home winning streak.
